Job summary

AndHealth seeks a Patient Onboarding Specialist to join our Central Scheduling team in Columbus, OH. You will guide patients through complex medical needs with empathy, precision, and judgement at the frontline of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Background in healthcare.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate patient scheduling across all service lines, balancing urgency, clinical priorities, and patient needs.
• Own the referral process end-to-end: interpret referrals, schedule patients, and document outcomes in partner EHRs and internal systems.
• Serve as the first problem-solver for incoming calls from patients, partners, or other stakeholders and connect to the right team when needed.
• Set up pre-visit steps: verify insurance, obtain consents, retrieve records, complete questionnaires, and uncover barriers like transportation.
• Deliver a WOW experience with empathy, resourcefulness, and tech savviness to support patients and reassure partners.
• Return calls promptly, document outcomes accurately, and keep patients and care team informed at every step.
• Collaborate to refine playbooks, workflows, and provide feedback to improve systems as the department scales.
• Uphold HIPAA and data privacy standards with meticulous documentation.
• Strive for excellence by meeting service benchmarks around responsiveness, visit readiness, and documentation quality.
