Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals and reviewing clinical documentation. You’ll navigate insurance requirements and confirm eligibility while communicating with patients, providers, and internal teams.

This role suits detail-oriented professionals who enjoy cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior related experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Contact patients when documentation does not meet requirements and propose options.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Support team scheduling and inventory coordination to ensure timely care.
