Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Patient Access Liaison II to serve as the primary contact for access to USC academic medical centers and the USC Health Sciences Campus. Qualifications

• Req High school or equivalent.
• Req 2 years minimum two (2) years of experience in a call center, customer service and/or healthcare environment.
• Req Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

• Req Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen and direct incoming and outgoing calls, messages and omnichannel contacts.
• Schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments using the scheduling system.
• Register patients and verify insurance coverage to advise on estimated financial responsibility.
• Perform data entry and maintain data integrity in patient records.
• Coordinate care with patient coordinators, nurses and physicians to secure appointments.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all communications and processes.
• Handle alternate assignments within the Patient Access Center as needed.
