Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Patient Access Liaison II to serve as the primary contact for access to USC academic medical centers and the Health Sciences Campus. You will answer, screen and direct calls, messages and omnichannel contacts using the organizational system, and schedule initial and follow-up appointments while registering patients and verifying insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• Req High school or equivalent.
• Req 2 years experience in call center, customer service and/or healthcare environment.
• Req Interpersonal skills and multi-tasking.
• Req Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Pref HIPAA knowledge and medical terminology familiarity.
• Pref Bilingual Spanish, Chinese or other languages.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen and direct calls, messages and other inquiries using the call management system.
• Schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments; register patients.
• Verify insurance coverage and advise patient of estimated financial responsibility.
• Perform data entry and maintain data integrity; reconcile as needed.
• Coordinate care with patient coordinators, nurses and physicians.
• Work from home as/when deployed and follow remote-work guidelines.
