AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to help patients access care by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documents, and navigating insurance requirements. You will work across teams to ensure accurate setup and timely intake processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or higher; related field preferred.
• Experience in healthcare admin, billing, or call center is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients and collect payments when applicable.
• Communicate with patients when documentation doesn't meet payer requirements.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes, meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate patient information in electronic systems.
• Support inventory and services scheduling with leadership.
• Answer calls and provide professional assistance; participate in on-call rotation.
