Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience; computer systems proficiency required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process to patients.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; reconciles cash drawer daily.
• Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Instructs patients and obtains signatures on consent and financial forms; scans and records documents.
• Counsels patients regarding non-covered services and ABNs.
• Maintains neat registration desk and protects confidentiality of patient information.
• Manages scheduling by prioritizing calls and messages and coordinating with clinical departments.
