Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Registration to lead the Patient Access team at The James Cancer Hospital. This role focuses on supervising staff, ensuring accurate scheduling, and driving process improvements to enhance access for patients and physicians.

Responsibilities include project management, QA data collection, budget support, and adherence to regulatory standards. The Manager will collaborate with multiple units to optimize outcomes and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8-12 years of health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated successful leadership, supervisory and management skills.
• Computer experience required.
• Knowledge of applications and systems and demonstrates proficiency.
• Strong demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, guide, coach and evaluate the work performance of the staff in Patient Access for The James.
• Monitor and ensure scheduling accuracy and process efficacy through reports and QA data.
• Coordinate QA data, process analysis and monitoring; develop reporting mechanisms and measure customer satisfaction.
• Lead projects related to the patient access product line and resolve issues to improve outcomes.
• Assist with budget development and implementation of new programs; align with regulatory requirements (JCAHO and others).
• Serve in place of the Assistant Director when unavailable for customers, other departments, and staff.
