Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of experience in a medical office or hospital admissions.
• Knowledge of insurance processing.
• Efficient with keyboarding and computer applications.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Patient Access department and its programs.
• Develop and update written policies and procedures for day-to-day operations of patient access.
• Interpret and communicate policies to staff and monitor compliance.
• Evaluate work performance of patient access personnel and apply disciplinary actions per policy.
• Ensure delivery of quality care and patient access supervision with adequate staff coverage.
• Coordinate patient access services with other departments as needed.
• Oversee admissions schedules to meet patient needs and regulatory/budgetary standards.
• Participate in recruitment and staff development for patient access personnel.
• Lead ongoing staff education to ensure quality patient care, safety, and HIPAA compliance.
• Foster positive employee relations and promote teamwork and effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and Red Flag Rules.
