Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Patient Access Lead to support day-shift outpatient registration at Elkins Park and Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia. You will oversee daily operations, ensure accurate data capture, and coach staff to maintain high-quality patient experiences.

The role requires 3 years of registration experience, strong communication, and the ability to backfill for breaks. HFMA certifications are preferred, with extensive experience in EPIC/Cerner systems.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of patient registration experience.
• HFMA Certifications preferred.
• Previous experience in a physician’s office or hospital registration setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with staff, patients and leadership to ensure positive patient experiences.
• Trains staff to enter complete demographic and insurance information including authorizations and referrals.
• Coaches staff on workflow changes and quality errors; backfills during meal breaks and PTO/ETO.
