Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a patient registration specialist to support outpatient and emergency department access. The role requires accurate data entry, verification of demographics and insurance, and strong customer service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, backfilling for breaks, and maintaining efficient door-to-doctor wait times while delivering a professional patient experience across Elkins Park and Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Outpatient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 3 years of patient registration experience.
• HFMA certifications preferred.
• Experience in a physician's office or hospital registration setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure insurance information, demographics, and authorizations are recorded correctly.
• Coach and provide feedback to staff; backfill during breaks or PTO as needed.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and leadership.
