Job summary

Jefferson Health in Stratford is seeking a Patient Access Lead for full-time days, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with Saturday coverage as needed. The role provides day-to-day support to Patient Access Representatives and acts as a subject matter expert to ensure accurate patient registrations and timely door-to-doctor times.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of patient registration experience.
• HFMA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day support to Patient Access Representatives and acts as a subject matter expert.
• Ensures staff enter complete orders, demographics and insurance information including authorizations.
• Ensures compliance with departmental and institutional protocols and collects out-of-pocket liability when applicable.
• Distributes daily work assignments and conducts QA on registrations to ensure accuracy.
• Coaches and tracks for performance improvement, backfills for meal breaks and PTO/ETO as needed.
• Maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff and supports timely door-to-doctor time.
