• Patient Access Certification preferred.
• Position may require weekend and staggered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with department schedule preparation and training.
• Perform patient access functions using hospital systems.
• Collect patient demographics and insurance information.
• Obtain signatures for consent and authorization.
• Assist patients, families, and visitors with questions and directions.
• Process payments and coordinate with insurance/physician offices for certification/authorization.
• Participate in training and orientation of new employees.
• Communicate with insurance companies, physicians, patients and staff.
