Responsibilities

• Coach and train patient access staff to deliver patient-centered service.
• Develop and deliver training programs for registration, insurance verification, and payment collection processes.
• Greet and assist patients professionally with urgency and empathy.
• Perform timely and accurate patient registration with demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Obtain patient signatures on consent forms and privacy notices in compliance with requirements.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and update records.
• Determine and collect co-pays, deductibles, or deposits; explain financial assistance when needed.
• Collaborate with clinical and security teams to prioritize patient intake and maintain flow.
• Enter and maintain patient data in EMR and registration systems; fix duplicates or errors.
• Respond to inquiries with sensitivity to diverse situations.
