Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and urgency.
• Complete patient registration, collecting and verifying demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and notices, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; update records accordingly.
• Determine and collect patient co-pays, deductibles, or deposits; explain financial assistance when needed.
• Collaborate with clinical and security teams to prioritize patient intake and flow.
• Enter and maintain patient data in EMR/registration systems; correct duplicates or errors.
• Respond to inquiries promptly with sensitivity to diverse situations.
• Stay informed on payer guidelines and hospital policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support process improvements and train new staff; provide backup to other Patient Access areas.
