Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to lead daily operations in patient registration, ensuring accurate capture of demographics, insurance data, and authorizations. The role emphasizes coaching staff, maintaining patient experience standards, and adherence to institutional protocols.

The position requires at least 3 years in patient registration, strong communication, and familiarity with EPIC/Cerner systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of patient registration experience preferred in a physician’s office or hospital setting.
• HFMA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day support to Patient Access Representatives.
• Trains and educates staff to enter complete and accurate orders, demographic and insurance information.
• Ensures staff comply with departmental protocols and collect patient out-of-pocket liability when applicable.
• QA sampling of registrations to ensure accuracy and provide feedback for improvement.
• Backfills for staff during meal breaks and covers scheduled PTO/ETO or unscheduled absences.
• Maintains professional demeanor and ensures timely, efficient patient registration processes.
