Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time Patient Access Supervisor to oversee daily department operations and supervise staff. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, professional representation of WellSpan, and support to management.

The position requires leadership capabilities, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and certification within 1 year. On-call coverage may be required and ongoing staff development is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience; leadership potential preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate within 1 year required.
• Trauma/TAT policies training within 6 months of employment and required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Patient Access Department.
• Supervises work activities of assigned staff.
• Provides support to Manager/Supervisor.
• Acts as primary leader in absence of supervisor.
• Troubleshoots technical issues and resolves conflicts.
• Provides feedback for performance evaluations.
• Participates in interview process for open positions.
• Facilitates department orientation for new hires.
• Coaches staff and implements corrective action plans.
