Job summary

WellSpan Health in Lewisburg, PA seeks a Registration Supervisor to oversee the Emergency Department's daily operations within Patient Access. The role leads staff, ensures high customer service standards, and supports management with process improvements.

Responsibilities include supervising registration, coordinating staffing, handling insurance verification, and participating in interviews and staff development. On-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year relevant experience required.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate within 1 year required.
• Become fully trained on trauma/TAT policies within 6 months.
• Appropriate certification as required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the registration super-user and shift lead in the Emergency Department.
• Oversee daily operations of Emergency, Trauma Center and Labor and Delivery.
• Register patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance and provide real-time feedback.
• Coordinate staffing and real-time monitoring of registration performance.
• Lead the team in supervisor's absence and re-assign staff as needed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve conflicts.
• Provide feedback for performance evaluations and participate in interviews.
• Assist in coaching and development of staff and corrective actions.
• Oversee training of new hires and implement new initiatives.
• Promote engagement and recognition; assist with projects.
