Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all patients, guests, family members and employees and effectively communicating with patients throughout their medical experience.
• Performs daily operations activities such as collecting data and forms for processing charges/claims and payments.
• Explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions, informing patient of financial responsibility.
• Researches and resolves issues impeding efficient registration of accounts; works with team on quality assurance scores to improve accuracy.
• Researches and resolves complaints regarding customer service, registration, authorization or scheduling.
• Monitors productivity and accuracy; meets department goals and documents activity; coordinates with team on issues.
• Adapts communication to patient population and respects privacy.
