Job summary

In this role you will interview patients, confirm coverage, collect dues, assist with scheduling, and escalate issues as needed, requiring empathy, strong communication, and careful data entry.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in healthcare or customer service.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette and empathy.
• Ability to navigate multiple locations and departments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for registration and billing.
• Register patients at multiple locations and assist with patient flow.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient dues according to policies.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with patients as needed.
• Escalate potential service issues to management when necessary.
