Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, medical office, or related customer service environment.
• Certifications in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), CHAA, or Medical Assistant preferred.
• Proficiency with data entry and patient information systems; ability to navigate Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, guests, family members and employees across the patient care journey.
• Explain insurance benefits and collect co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions.
• Research and resolve issues related to registration, scheduling, and billing.
• Monitor productivity and accuracy, assist teammates to meet department goals.
• Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues regarding financial responsibilities.
