Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy seeks a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, verify records, and obtain authorizations across JAG locations. You will register new patients, collect patient financial responsibility, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to travel throughout JAG locations for coverage per Travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions.
• Field all calls using the general office number.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments using medical office software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms and paperwork to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required.
