Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, register new patients, and manage essential administrative tasks in a busy outpatient setting.

You will handle insurance authorizations, verify coverage, collect payments, and maintain patient records with strict confidentiality. Travel to multiple JAG locations is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer questions and provide directions when necessary.
• Field calls on the general office line.
• Use medical office software to schedule appointments.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as needed.
