Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage essential administrative tasks across multiple locations. You will obtain authorizations, facilitate insurance processes, and support the delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills, with travel to various JAG locations per coverage needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in health care.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to travel throughout JAG locations for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer questions and provide assistance and directions as needed.
• Field all calls using the general office number.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments with medical office software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as requested.
