Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure smooth front-desk operations across our outpatient facilities. You will greet patients, manage appointments, collect payments, and support insurance verifications and authorizations, contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma (medical assistant cert preferred), 1+ year of health-care receptionist experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant in health care.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to travel between JAG locations per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance/direct patients when needed.
• Field calls using the office number.
• Use medical office software to schedule appointments.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Collect daily patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as required.
