Job summary

UCI Health, one of California's largest academic health systems, seeks a Clinic Registration/Reception Supervisor. You will administer the clinic’s front desk operations, interview and train staff, and ensure alignment with UC policy.

You will monitor productivity and coordinate payroll and HR matters for the team. The role oversees authorization and surgery scheduling, and may provide additional help as needed, including travel to off-site clinics.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year recent experience registering patients in a hospital or clinic or related medical setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrated leadership to supervise and motivate staff.
• Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and database applications.
• Ability to interpret health plan benefit packages.
• Ability to travel to off-site clinics.
• Ability to maintain a productive work pace.
• Ability to build effective relationships across the Health System.
• Ability to solve problems independently and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and staff the clinic's registration/reception.
• Interview, hire, discipline and terminate staff per policy.
• Train, orient and provide in-services for front office staff.
• Monitor productivity and collect statistics.
• Coordinate payroll, computer training and HR issues for staff.
• Oversee authorization and surgery scheduling; assist as needed.
