Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage front office operations, greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and keep electronic health records up to date.

You will handle payments, schedule follow‑up appointments for casts and prosthetic care, and collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure a smooth patient experience. This full‑time role requires strong communication, computer skills, and a commitment to serving patients with integrity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service or reception preferred.
• Knowledge of medical front office procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance at check‑in; register walk‑ins.
• Process payments including deductibles and copays at the front desk.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments for casts, measurements, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
