Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and coordinate appointments at the clinic. The role emphasizes strong communication, computer proficiency, and teamwork with the Revenue Cycle Management team, while maintaining accurate electronic health records and supporting clinicians in a fast-paced medical office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service or administrative experience.
• Receptionist or medical front office experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at arrival, provide wait time information.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance data at check-in.
• Collect patient payments at the front desk.
• Schedule follow-up appointments including cast/measure and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
