Job summary

Atrium Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support registration, financial counseling, and billing processes. The role requires accurate data entry in the ADT system, insurance verification, and coordination of pre-certifications where needed.

Candidates should have strong customer service skills and be able to adapt to shift rotations including weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate customer focus with patience, composure and compassion.
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer technology, including typing at least 25 wpm.
• Education: high school completion or GED; Associate degree preferred in healthcare or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling and collect co-pays and deductibles.
• Register patients and complete registration in the ADT system with accurate demographics and financial data.
• Verify insurance benefits and generate ABN as needed; obtain pre-certifications when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
