Job summary

Legacy Health in Vancouver, WA seeks a Patient Access Representative to greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect demographics and financial responsibilities, collect copays, and ensure required documentation for compliance.

You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams to maintain accurate medical and financial records, collect payments, and guide patients through billing options and available resources.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years college coursework in Health Records preferred.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or related clerical work.
• Six months of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, check in and admit patients per service scope.
• Collect patient demographics and document medical decision-makers.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine patient financial responsibilities.
• Explain active insurance coverage and guide patients to financial resources.
• Provide self-pay information and applicable discounts.
• Collect copayments and payments as appropriate; assist with deposits.
