Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Extensive computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication, internet and password management.
• Ability to multi-task, be accurate and have attention to detail while in a chaotic and stressful environment.
• Ability to deal with an emotional environment, mental health patients, traumas, and visibly ill and injured patients.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, i.e. day, swing, night, weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Admit/register patients in a timely and efficient manner using multiple methods of communications (bedside, in-person, over the phone, etc.).
• Obtain all required admission/registration information to ensure an accurate medical record is created.
• Perform insurance verification and accurately code insurance to provide accurate billing information.
