Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking an Associate Patient Access Representative to be the first contact for visitors, handling patient registration, financial clearance, and check-ins. You will schedule appointments, collect payments, verify insurance, and ensure compliance with CMS standards.

In this role you will help prepare patients administratively and financially for visits, accurately entering patient demographics and ensuring smooth workflow across registration and billing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of healthcare office experience or strong customer service background.
• Proficient in all types of registrations (inpatient, outpatient, emergency).
• Completes Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers timely when applicable.
• Ability to monitor and perform patient hospital/ambulatory movement.
• Utilizes EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies CMS coverage and eligibility information with the patient.
• Accurately enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients.
• Confirms completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and makes changes.
