Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support the main check-in/out area. This full-time role offers daytime hours with a Monday-Thursday 10:30am-7:00pm and Friday 8:30am-5:00pm schedule, in a fast-paced patient access environment.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and guide patients through registration and scheduling processes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality while supporting a positive patient experience across the system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain the registration process.
• Process co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due.
• Safeguard cash and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Assist with Kiosk check-in as needed.
• Explain billing questions and assist with ABNs and waivers.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure patient information.
