Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Hampton, VA seeks a Front Office Healthcare Support professional to help deliver a safe, accurate, and welcoming patient experience from pre-arrival through checkout. You will verify patient identity and insurance coverage and facilitate smooth patient flow to support high provider throughput.

You will also manage check-in, scheduling, payments, and outreach for no-shows, contributing to strong patient satisfaction and clinic financial health.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and knowledge of patient eligibility and benefits.
• Experience using scheduling systems to optimize staffing.
• Ability to handle patient concerns with rapport and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Preparation: review schedule 24–48 hours in advance to identify missing docs, expirations, or gaps.
• Digital-First Intake: assist patient check-in via digital tools and ensure demographics and consents are complete.
• Queue & Wait-Time Management: monitor waiting room and EMR queues; communicate delays to patients and staff; handle POS collections with integrity.
• Exit & Outreach: conduct checkout, schedule follow-ups, and manage outreach for no-shows or preventive care.
