Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to deliver a warm, patient-centered experience for patients and visitors. You will handle phone triage, registration, insurance eligibility and co-pay collection while guiding patients through scheduling and MyChart tools.

This role requires strong customer service, attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues using the HEART model. Occasional regional travel for coverage may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or GED or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree as indicated in the posting.
• Experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service is required; strong customer service and conflict resolution skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive, proactive and “Patients First” experience for patients and visitors.
• Investigate, triage and resolve patient issues using the HEART model.
• Register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays and schedule services.
• Explain patient estimates and assist with financial counseling as needed.
• Support front-end technology adoption and guide patients in MyChart usage.
