Job summary

Valeris is seeking a patient support specialist to join our team in Indiana. You will build trusted relationships with patients, explain benefits and coverage options, and coordinate services to support adherence to prescribed therapies.

Responsibilities include conducting patient welcome calls, handling inquiries, and documenting all activities in our systems. A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, empathy, and regulatory compliance is essential in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience required
• Customer service and healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am and 9 pm, Monday to Friday
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to speak concisely to patients
• Self-awareness and emotional intelligence for interacting with patients and teams
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple inquiries; professional telephone etiquette
• Commitment to care coordination and mission-driven service

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients through proactive communication
• Explain benefits, coverage options, and patient responsibilities clearly
• Conduct welcome calls and engage patients in their care plan
• Perform post-benefits investigations and explain payer coverage details
• Triage patient inquiries and route to appropriate resources as needed
• Document all activities in the Lynk system and ensure compliance with SOPs
• Coordinate shipment of products via patient assistance programs when applicable
• Identify and communicate plan benefit coverage including prior authorizations or formulary exclusions
