Atrium Health in North Carolina seeks a front desk registration specialist to create patient electronic records, check in patients, and collect demographics and insurance information. You will explain financial responsibilities, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient services to ensure smooth care delivery.

This on-site role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and proficiency with EPIC EMR and Microsoft Office. High school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• HIPAA-compliant and confidentiality on patient information.
• Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with insurance verification and patient scheduling is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Create the initial electronic health record for the patient as the care team foundation.
• Check in and register patients, collect demographics and insurance details, and collect co-pays.
• Explain financial responsibilities and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule appointments and share test prep and arrival information with patients.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patients with transportation, directions, interpreters, etc.
• Monitor and manage EHR work queues per department process.
