Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a detail-oriented Admissions/Registration professional to support patient check-in, registration, and payment collection. You will verify demographics and insurance, explain financial responsibilities, and help patients navigate the care journey with excellent service.

Key duties include creating the initial electronic health record for the care team and maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality while delivering a welcoming, accurate, and efficient patient experience

Qualifications

HIPAA-compliant with knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality.
Ability to verify demographic, guarantor, and insurance information accurately.
Excellent service ethic and strong communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Create the initial electronic health record used by the care team to ensure patient safety.
Check in and register patients, collect co-pays, and verify insurance information.
Explain financial responsibilities and direct patients to Financial Advocates when needed.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential information.
Answer phones, greet patients, and provide patient assistance and directions.
