Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Patient Access Liaison in the Call Center to assist callers with scheduling, registrations, and insurance verification, while delivering excellent patient service. The role includes potential on-site to remote work after successful completion of training.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate data entry, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions within Summa Health System.

Qualifications

• Formal Education Required: High school diploma/GED.
• Post high school level coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations or related field preferred.
• Experience and Training Required: One (1) year experience in customer service or general office support preferred.
• Contact or call center experience preferred.
• Experience in Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists callers and/or patients with way-finding, appointment scheduling, pre-service registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, physician referral, and initial screening of patient sign/symptoms.
• Provides a high level of customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health.
