Job summary

Summa Health in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Patient Access Liaison/Call Center Rep for full-time day shifts (10:30am-7:00pm). On-site training with potential after-hours remote work.

The role focuses on welcome support, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient contact to ensure a positive Summa Health experience. The position requires a high school diploma and 1 year of customer service experience; healthcare office exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service or general office experience preferred.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Experience in Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts a plus.
• Population-specific competency and strong verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist callers/patients with way-finding, appointment scheduling and pre-service registration.
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays as needed.
• Assist with physician referrals and class scheduling; screen patient symptoms as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to present a positive Summa Health image.
