Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one - three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and pre-registers patients, verifies demographic data and benefits, and ensures accurate data for timely bill submission.
• Verifies insurance information and documents authorization or referral requirements with providers and payors.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, estimates amounts, collects liabilities, and reconciles daily transactions in the system.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains strong relationships with patients, AHN leadership, staff, and external partners.
• Maintains productivity by meeting established standards and participates in mandatory trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
