Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Patient Access professional to manage scheduling, preregistration, and benefits verification. You will determine patient financial responsibilities and support collection activities, while upholding AHN policies and delivering a positive patient experience.

In this role you will collaborate with physicians, offices, and payors, ensuring accurate data, timely submissions, and compliant processes. Prior healthcare or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduling and preregistration functions and verifies demographic data.
• Identifies and verifies medical benefits and plans; handles COB and authorization needs.
• Calculates patient financial responsibilities and posts payments; supports daily reconciliation.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with AHN staff and external partners.
• Supports productivity goals and adheres to organizational policies and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
