Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience, preferably in medical or financial services/customer service environments.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and preregisters patients, verifies demographic data and medical benefits, and ensures accurate bill submission.
• Verifies insurance information through payor contacts and notifies physician offices and payors of authorization/referral issues.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, estimates costs, collects liabilities and processes post-payment transactions.
• Delivers positive patient experiences and maintains relationships with patients, AHN staff, and external partners.
• Supports productivity goals and suggests process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Adheres to AHN policies and completes mandatory trainings within guidelines.
• Communicates barriers or issues to team lead and assists in resolving patient issues as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
