Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access team member to handle scheduling, preregistration, and financial clearance tasks. You will verify demographic data, determine eligibility, collect deposits, and guide patients through expected billing responsibilities.

You will verify insurance and authorization requirements, document deficiencies, and support communication with physicians, payors, and families. Exceptional service and accuracy are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of related experience in medical/financial services or customer service preferred.
• Experience operating a PC and common software applications.

Aufgaben

• Conducts scheduling and preregistration; verifies demographic data and benefits; ensures accurate data for billing.
• Verifies insurance information and handles authorization/referral requirements; documents deficiencies to physicians and payors.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, calculates estimates, collects liabilities and posts payments in the ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN leadership and staff, physician offices and external contacts.
• Maintains productivity standards and seeks innovative approaches to improve performance.
• Adheres to AHN policies; completes required training and mandatory sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
