Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one – three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One previous year of related experience, preferably within a medical setting, financial services setting, and/or a demanding customer service environment
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling, preregistration, verifies demographic data and benefits; ensures accurate billing data.
• Verifies insurance information via payor contacts and online resources; notifies payors and physicians about deficiencies.
• Calculates patient financial responsibilities, collects liabilities, and posts payments in the ADT system.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with AHN staff and external partners.
• Maintains productivity standards and participates in mandatory training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
