Job summary

Rancho Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist 1 in Temecula, CA to greet patients, collect information, and schedule visits. You will collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth check-in and accurate appointment placement.

Prior healthcare or call center experience is preferred, with bilingual Spanish a plus. Responsibilities include following triage protocols, communicating with patients and departments, and assisting with MyChart setup.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years customer service experience, preferably healthcare or call center.
• Healthcare-related call center experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Ability to multitask with high call volumes while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication, handling sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect personal and insurance information.
• Review provider schedules to ensure correct appointment placement.
• Follow triage protocol as needed.
• Coordinate with departments and relay messages to patients and staff.
• Encourage and assist patients with MyChart setup.
• Reschedule appointments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient data.
