Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide telephone and medical record support for both the professional office and the surgery center in Maryland.

Responsibilities include answering calls, directing to departments, scheduling appointments, providing prep instructions, and handling patient portal messages, recalls, and input management. A High School Diploma and one year as a Telephone Receptionist are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year experience as a Telephone Receptionist.
• Knowledge of the various insurances helpful.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Allscripts or similar patient management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone lines and greets callers with the practice name.
• Direct calls to appropriate department.
• Schedule appointments and take messages.
• Provide prep instructions and directions to the office.
• Manage patient portal messages and reminders.
• Assist with recalls and input management and document scanning.
