Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for the Intermittent/Part Time position in AK. The entry-level role supports access to care by registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and guiding appointment scheduling with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include check-in, collecting co-pays, and coordinating communications across clinics using the EHR. Strong data entry, organization, and customer service are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Currently require or prefer Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Registers and pre-registers patients with accurate demographic, insurance, and eligibility data in the EHR.
• Performs patient check-in and supports self-check-in, including collecting co-pays and forms.
• Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments across service lines per protocols.
• Manages scheduling worklists and conducts outreach to support care team priorities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to SEARHC Standards of Service Excellence.
