Job summary

Women’s Care PC is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the friendly first contact for patients at our Brandon, FL practice. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, accept payments, and support scheduling while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate records.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills with experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help patients.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a high-volume setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist with check-in.
• Collect demographic information and verify patient data per policy.
• Collect payments and address billing concerns at time of service.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR (HIPAA compliant).
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits.
• Answer high volumes of calls and respond to patient emails.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to visits.
• Ensure front lobby area is tidy and presentable.
• Assist with online registration as needed.
• Support back-up for insurance verification and patient balance discussions.
