Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a patient registrar to accurately register patients in the EMR, verify insurance, collect required payments, and ensure a best-in-class patient experience. This role operates under close supervision within a clinical environment.

Responsibilities include managing the patient flow, explaining billing procedures, and coordinating with physicians and staff to support timely referrals and information access for patients.

Qualifications

• 6 months front desk/customer service experience or completion of a front office/medical office program.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, manage check-in/out and collect payments.
• Explain billing procedures and patient charges to minimize confusion.
• Register patients in EMR accurately and verify insurance.
• Coordinate scheduling and referrals with providers.
• Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy.
• Follow up on unpaid balances and balance accounts.
• Support clinics with clerical duties as needed.
