Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage patient intake and front-desk processes in our clinic setting. You will interact with patients in person and by phone to check in/out, collect data and payments, and validate insurance.

The role requires strong customer service and familiarity with billing and medical terminology. You will also schedule appointments, process referrals and authorizations, and communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly to patients

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required at hire.
• One year of experience required at hire.
• Strong knowledge of insurance, billing, and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake duties and administrative tasks.
• Interact with patients in person and by phone for check-in/out and data collection.
• Validate insurance, collect payments, schedule appointments, and process referrals/authorizations.
• Explain patient financial responsibility clearly to patients and guarantors.
